Ranking IS overrated! Having said that, let's not lie to ourselves and say that it doesn't matter or is worthless. Sadly to say, it does matter no matter what we may tell ourselves. We can never escape individuals wanting to know one's personal rank in determining 'legitimacy' or who outranks who. This world is all about titles. It can be a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing. But yet, Frances is right, if titles were not important, then why do so many of us use it?
