Ous...in Budo Jiten by F.J.Lovret (martial arts dictionary) it states..1)yes sir!(I understand and will comply)2)Sir!(I see you have have entered the room)3)Sir!( I have entered the dojo and am ready to practice.)...it is also a militant short version of commands of a superior. ....Friends of mine who train in Kyokushin,use osu also as a form of motivation for the students.When I would visit the Kyokushin dojo my friend trained at,it is a very common exchange between the students of the dojo as well as towards the Sensei.I personaly use it in my dojo.I hope this helps you.
