Having done extensive research on renshi kyoshi and hanshi titles in one maner you are correct if "official" form japan they are collectively shihan titles but in many other karate organisation shidoin, doshi,renshi and kyoshi are sensei titles and only hanshi is a shihan title, in a more traditional okinawan form they are meaningless as they where not used sensei was to address your teacher and shihan was used to address a techer of teachers
