I don't believe the standards have dropped for all Karateka...Yes, some will take the easy road. It's all a matter of pride. As a Sensei, I will not stand in front of my dojo out of shape. I have to be an example for my students.I have to be the one that sets the bar so my students can push themselves to be better then me.If you train with the right mind set you must always set the standards higher for your self.People come into the Martial Arts for different reasons and it's up to the Sensei to educate them on the right path. That path is hard work.
